| My Dell is awaiting a new screen, so I'm on the road with my old Sony. Digging through a few folders of "old" photos, I dragged up some memories. That's me with 5YV in CKB, me with 162ZV in MSS, and 162ZV in ART. All from late 2000 / early 2001. I can't remember which.

| I might as well throw in this one I took in the CRJ in 2002 (I think). DFW - CMH. Also a view of the CMH ramp in 2001, before the new jetways were added. We also can't forget 27173, the last Mesa CRJ to wear the "John Deere" paint job. Good gosh that was ugly!

| How about some airports. Any guesses? And as far as you know, I was in the jumpseat for the first 3. The last was when I was flight instructing. If only I'd had a good camera back then...

| Two oddballs. First, a view of "Ground Zero," taken about a week after 9/11. The other ... well, I sure was an ugly mo-fo when I was going through ATP's program.

| Wow, I have to stop. I'm feeling old. Doug ... remember the first one (circa 1993)? Or the second one (circa 1991)? That second combo-shot is how I earned my nickname of Bog. The last is my old Suzuki RF-900R (1994 model, pic from 1996). I bought that as a present to myself for finishing college. Had it for 4 years and put 32,000 miles on it. The one-and-only problem she ever had was a broken choke cable. She took me through day, night, wind, rain, and snow. I miss that bike!

| OK, I promise I'll stop now. I guess it's late, I'm a bit bored, and just felt like sharing a little. As I look back, I have to say that the last 8 years have been a wild ride. As much as I whine and complain (yes, I fully admit it) about MAG, those 7 years brought me so much in life. I made 100s of new friends, saw all kinds of places I never thought existed (most I wish I still didn't), and learned an awful lot about flying airplanes. Most importantly, I learned a tremendous amount about myself, and found plenty of opportunities to grow as a person. Living out of a suitcase and having U-Haul in your speed dial is not a glamorous way to live, but it does make for a wild ride. Enjoy it!

is #2 DFW....? If not, it looks very similar (at least the terminal area) #3....LGA? Looks like the NYC skyline and from what I remember one of the LGA rw's cuts pretty close to the water.

| Old Skool | Number 3 is LGA. It's the visual for 22. That is Riker's Island on the right with the bridge going to it. I always thought it must suck for the inmates stuck there to see the planes leaving all the time. For a hint on number one, take a look at the big building on the bottom left corner of the frame. For all the protected airspace around there it is still legal to fly over that building. Go figure. I'm going to guess on the last one as I've only been there once and say it's SAT. |

| Old Skool | It's DCA. IAD sits a ways out into the countryside. And I just call it Washington National. I'll be damned if I call it after a president who forced out most of the ATC guys. |

| Yeup, DCA, DFW, LGA, and SAT. I remember the first time we flew over the Pentagon into DCA, and could not believe it was legal. I also remember looking at people having lunch in the center courtyard of the Pentagon. That image brought me back to the reality that is really is "just" an office building. My first thought of DFW: someone in TX legislature must have had a brother / cousin / uncle in the concrete business who needed a break. As for the FL410 pic, that was on a revenue flight. We had 12 pax and about 8500#s of fuel when we left DFW, so we weren't exactly heavy. The SAT was cool, and we just sloooooooow climbed it up there, always minding our speed. The CA on that flight was great about teaching me how to be careful going that high. I'll never forget how quiet it was, and how the engines were only slurping about 900pph of fuel at cruise.
