| Old Skool | Interesting! I never imagined a 206 doing a slingload (well, that wasn't a sling load really...) What's the purpose of "cargo letdown ops?" Why not just drop the bag? And what took so long releasing the load? (Sorry for the questions... slingloads are just kinda my thing.) |

| They use that for getting stuff up to fire fighters when there isnt a place to put a large slingload or the terrain wont let them make an LZ they just drop the bag full of supplies and leave the rope and all. Usually its food, sometimes extra shovels, axe's, saw's you name it... the bags are rated for about 150 lbs of stuff. ![]() ![]() |
