Maybe in a few select cases FA pics would be good ... but trust me, more often than not you wouldn't be interested!

Legally I've got to have their permission else they can get me in a whole heap of trouble.

But for the most part, not to be mean to them, but quite a few are old enough to be your mother!

Geez, Bog...you're a hardcore commuter!

I wish we (and AMR) allowed more than one jumpseater...it would make a lot of lives easier. I kinda feel guilty jumpseating offline. Hopefully it'll change someday, sooner than later.

Getting bumped to BNA was the last thing I wanted, and my #####ty schedule this bid is all 2-day breaks. So, like today, it's crawl outta bed at the crashpad at 5am, take the 7:15 to PHX, then back to the airport tomorrow afternoon for the 3:25 back to BNA. Then up again at 4am Monday for work.

I love my job I love my job I love my job ...

Question for you;

I can't keep up with the who's who of regional flying these days. In PHX, I see the CRJs in the HP colors, but I also see a, I believe, CL-65 in United colors every now and again. Is that Mesa operated too? And also, what's the big difference between CRJ-200/700/900 and which ones are in PHX?

I come from the old days, when the Dash 8s at PHX were owned and operated by HP, and Mesa flew C-208 Caravans and a couple of 1900Cs. The Caravan would be on the PRC run along with Golden Pacific's C-402s.

Also, why are ERJs only on the east coast?

Thaks in advance.

Mike, you're gonna confuse people by saying "CRJ" in one sentence and "CL-65" in the next.

Hell, I confuse myself trying to keep all the various "RJ" models correct, ala EMB-145, CL-65, ERJ or CRJ whatever the hell it is -200/700/900.

Bog, that schedule sucks. I got really lucky for October and got a GREAT schedule for a commuter ... five on, four off with early releases so I can go home the day my trip ends. I'm afraid it was just luck though, and I'll be back to crap for November ... hard to say.

OK ... the EMB-135, 140, and 145 are all generally referred to by the "ERJ" moniker. The CL-65 200, 700, and 900 are all generally referred to as CRJ (or CR2, CR7, CR9). ERJs are generally on the east coast more because I believe the CRJ has better hot/high performance at the mountain airports frequented in the west.

Last I knew Mesa was flying CRJ 200s and 900s for HP in PHX (along with the DHC-8s). They fly 200s and 700s for UA. Air Wisconsin and SkyWest also fly 200s for UA, so if it was a 200 you saw it could be any of those three.

If you're confused, don't worry. It'll all change soon enough. The players change every day.

[/ QUOTE ]A buddy of mine who flies for Eagle tells me that you do now. Haven't heard confirmation of that, but if true it is certainly welcome news.

If CHQ can get you where you need to go, come on down anytime. We're happy to take anyone, and can take unlimited jumpseaters. Welcome aboard.

Yeah, like I said, before it was a smaller card game, and easier to keep track of the players......

That and our 36 ERJs (EMB-145s) are all painted in US Airways colors, and since they're all based in CLT. At the time, we were expanding our USX operation and only Embraer would offer financing to us, so that's why we have them.

Yes. Yes. Yes. We also fly Dashes for United out of DEN and GJT. The CR2s (CL600-2B19) in PHX are pretty much Skywest; the only way to tell is to check the United website.

It had little to do with financing Bog. This was the last chapter of the Grady Reed story. It had to do with returning 12 E120s to Bombardier and claiming they were in "excellent condition" when in fact they were barely flyable. In fact one had no engines.

When Risley left, JO was able to re-open negotiations with Bombardier.

It was never a question of financing, more of communication.

Yeah, they are slow... I think they (Hawkers) cruise around .75M or so...

[/ QUOTE ]Yeah, REAL SLOW <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

[/ QUOTE ]

Hey, that's for the "Fast Hawkers" (i.e. 800XP)... I think the old 700 & 600's do like .72M...

[/ QUOTE ]
Actually, the 800XP will do .78 all day long.

What altitude does the 800XP cruise at? I know those GIV/ GV's cruiser around 48,000, I was surprised that the BBJ cruises at 42,000.

Probably more to do with the time it takes to descent to a 'rapid decompression' altitude rather than engine/airfoil performance.

When I was a 737 pilot, right when the controller said "Cross...", you'd almost automatically deploy the speedbrakes, hit level change and listen to the rest of the clearance.
