| Big Chief's Woman | I like the shirt too! I also heard that deoterant is a good thing to get them.. imagine being in the desert, even in winter time with a bunch of guys/girls and the deoterants work different on everyone! I do agree that we should send them something xmasy as well.. but not too holidayish because they're not "at home" like they want to be... i dunno if that would make them more depressed or what not?! I am wondering what it would cost to send them a turkey fryer and maybe a few turkeys that they can fry... or if that would give their location away... just ideas! |

| Old Skool | "Dirty Dozen" Iraq Care Pack t-shirt There's the link if anyone wants a shirt (or wants to donate one). I've set the price at what Cafe Press charges for the shirt so there is no profit going to me. |

| I've been to the Gulf and even did a 10 day expedition out into the Kuwaiti desert on the Iraqi border. I think Doug has got a pretty decent list for them. Of course it's winter and it doesn't get as hot as it gets come spring time. I second the Gatorade powder mix. You pretty much live of bootled water or watewr from a water buffalo (potable water tank trailer) Deoderant is good. We had to take at least three showers a day. I hated laundry collection days on the ship. There were some foul a$$ smelling clothes! Oh yeah I forgot to add that those nice little outdoor folding canvas chairs you get from Target or somewhere like that, are really nice to have while deployed. The bigger captain chairs are supper comfortable and are good for naps. |

| You'd be surprised how popular and useful BABY WIPES become on deployments...especially to desert theaters. |

| I might have more respect for that comment, skibum, if it wasnt for that awful signature..... ![]() I think they will appreciate anything that we can give them and will more than likely understand an inappropriate gift. Of course we would like to make it all perfect, but I doubt that will happen. |

| I was born and raised about an hour from Columbus, so I more or less bleed scarlet and grey. Dont get me wrong man, I wasnt and am not taking anything away from Michigan at all. They are a great team and did pretty much everything right that day. I knew it would be a tough day for the Bucks no matter what happened. Sorry to the other folks for taking this off-topic.... Next year skibum.....next year..... |

| Ohio State was one of two most over ranked teams in the top 25 this year, the other being Nebraska. So it was great for me to see Solich fired and Ohio State losing again, should have been a couple more times too. Back on topic, my cousin is in Iraq and has been for some time. He likes those baby wipes a lot. My mom and I sent him a couple packs of those, along with the charmin small travel toliet paper rolls. I think where he is at is a little more laid back, he has a laptop, TV and a x-box to play with. |

| Just a little FYI... If you decide to send a small bottle of booze to anyone on a ship at sea, make sure you wrap it in a lot of paper so that the person recieving the package doesn't get a box of broken glass that smells like wild turkey and have to try and explain it to a large group of master chiefs...Just a little hint. |
