| Moderator | [ QUOTE ] The thing is over, why is the forum still here? [/ QUOTE ] Uhh, If you were aware of what Doug, Kristie, members of JC, and others did to get this to come together, you would understand why it is still here. There may be the flame wars and disagreements here, but this forum/idea just goes to show when it comes down to it there are a great bunch of people here. Also, if you ever do serve in the military you will understand the importance of a project like this and what it means to the military members serving their country away from home. Yes the project is done, but there is no reason for it to go away. It is a great reminder of what a group of people can do when they set their minds to it. That's All For Now Folks ! |

| Geez, chill! I was just asking. I know you guys did a great job and the only reason I didn't help was because I didn't come to these forums when it was going on. |

| Agent Smith | Viper driver = F-16 Falcon pilot. Clean cut pilots. Hog drivers = A-10 Wartwog pilots. Usually a little unshaven guys that love to blow up stuff first and foremost. |

He is a flight instructor at the flight school where I work, and is who I did my training for my commercial single and multiengine with. If you are looking for a group to set this up for again, I would be more than willing to help, and would love to help do the same thing for his Marine Reserve unit from Missouri. |

| I too have a good friend over there as well in the army.... returned about a month back but had his time off cut short and will be shipping out again soon. I can send you his information if you guys wanted it. In a way I kinda feel weird doing it because we all probably know a handful of people that are all equally deserving !! on a side note... one of my co-workers brother was a life'r with the Navy and was set to retire after 30 years the beginning of September. He had been state side for the past two years in DC but got the news friday he was to shipping out sunday morning for Saudi Arabia for his last three months of service !! |

| Big Chief's Woman | you are? well, pm where you'll be at (address, rank, name etc) and we'll make sure your on the list!! Keep in mind - we can't send to APO addresses because it'll have to go thru the base and we want to bypass the base since it's on "their" time and not ours... |

| When I was in Kuwait packages took an average 7 days to get to me. 5 from Germany. Than again it took almost 6 months to get one package that I really needed. Yeah, nix the APO! ![]() |
