Has anyone thought about getting in touch with the Thunderbirds which are based at Nellis about a possible tour? I was thinking that would be pretty kick ass.

I thought about it considering they have a museum at all... but apparently, the museum is now closed to the general public (due to 9/11). not sure if there's anyone on board that could get us inside...I think we'd need a military man or woman to make that call and get us a foot in the door.

Sean, Talk to Gina (gna_in_lga ?) cuz i know she's living in vegas now and she used to work military....not quite sure if she's working AT Nellis but she might be working with a few of the Nellis peeps if she's still working in the military field. If MikeD were here, we'd just ask him but he hasn't been on site for over 2 years now, so i don't want to depend on that.

19-22 (it'd be great to put a tour on the 19th since we don't have any meeting space then...but also understand that it'd be a sunday as well, so it might be difficult. we'd also have to figure out transportation but we can do that after the know something more.

Nope, the Thunderbirds museum is still open to the public, it's just the base access you'd have to contend with. Give the Thunderbirds Public Affairs folks a call, they may be able to work something out. Their show season will still be underway, so whether they can support a group will be hit and miss.
