Nellis Air Force Base
702-652-9902 Rating & Comments
The Thunderbirds offer public tours of their facility every Tuesday and Thursday at 2:00pm The tour is not held on federal holidays or during the team’s Christmas, Easter and mid-season break. People can call (702) 652-9902 for updated information on tour cancellations. To attend the tour, people must be at the Nellis AFB Main Gate (located on Las Vegas Boulevard at the intersection of Craig Road by 1:45pm There they will obtain a visitor's pass that will give them access to the base. To obtain the pass, people must have a valid drivers license, current registration and proof of insurance for their vehicle. For rental vehicles, a drivers license and a copy of the rental contract is sufficient. Please note that no transportation is provided from the Main Gate to the Thunderbird Hangar. The tour includes a short video, guided museum walk-through and a chance to look at a Thunderbird F-16 up close (depending on aircraft availability).
Please Note: Access to the Thunderbird Museum is not available to the general public at this time.
