We're expecting that the economy will start to brighten up as we get into 2010... we REALLY want to ramp NJC back up to what it was since 2008's at hte Sahara... with that, we'd like your suggestions on what you'd like to see next year Our expectations are to bring back the recruitment fair...grab all the airlines/corporate/FBO's we can for a trade show like atmosphere...If you know of a company that would be interested, give us a heads up we want to include vendors in that...if you are one or know of one that would be interested, give us a heads up... we are looking for partner sponsors...We think we may already have one on board but if you know of a company that would like to partner with us, let us know so we can give them a call I'm going to be looking at the MGM Grand or PH (Planet Hollywood) for space. I'm also already looking for presenters for roundtable discussions... I'd like to set up at least 3 or 4 per day (2 morning, 2 afternoon)...no more than 20 per session at an hour and a half in discussion time...if we need to create more sessions for the amount of folks who want to be involved, i think we'll be able to accomodate We want to include everyone and anyone who wants to join... Dispatch, ATC, FA's..you name it, we'd like you to be there and have at least 1 roundtable session and I know Pengy will be working with us for any tours - let us know if there's anything specific you'd like to see/view/tour so we can get working on that (no guarantees tho). we're not sure about acquiring a main speaker yet...i think it depends on how much $$ we have but we're open to suggestions on who to get if we can get anyone. We're looking at changing the venue of Sunday night and want to expand to Tuesday night...even looking into whether it would be good to hold the networking event on sunday night...it's open for discussion NJC2010 will be October 17 - 20

No if's, and's or butts about it, myself and the wife will be there next year, barring any major major family issues. The work schedule just did not work out this year, and in the past, I never had a schedule. I will make it my mission to make it to this next event!! |

Sounds awesome. I might be able to talk my boss into partnering under the right conditions. Let's chat about what you're thinking of.

I will be there. You have set yourself up for a lot of work there, Kristie! I hope you know what you're getting yourself into! I'll just show up at the parties and cause trouble. That's my part of the event. I'll leave all the serious stuff to others. It's more fun for me that way anyway.

believe it or not, setting things up at the sahara was a lot easier because of catering and a meeting planner. it pays to have stuff like that and not to have to collect all the food/beverages, much less keg, the day before. plus, we need to get our necks out of the red on these things...we were closer than ever in 2008

Ok, I realize I'm new here, but what city would this be in? Is it always the same? Open to any JC members?

Well, Kim had a good time and was already talking about going back. I'll throw her under the bus for a roundtable for FAs, since she's not registered. hehehehehe. ...as an addition, we're thinking about putting a Hoover Dam/ Grand Canyon driving expedition together. Well, honestly, it's me planning, so really just renting a car and driving down. Yeah...next year. |

i wouldn't be messing with Kim if i were you....i think she could take you on!! ![]() grand canyon would be about a 3 hr drive (to get to the new skywalk/west rim)...so you're talking a day trip there... whereas hoover is more of a long afternoon (depending on traffic). good ideas nonetheless!

No doubt, she's the boss. However, it'll work out just fine. I knew the Canyon was a bit away. I was thinking hitting the Dam on the way out, getting to the Canyon that night, then spending the day there. Driving back the next morning or so. This is based on absolutely no research on my part, and solely on the desire to go drive the high desert and see America. |

Could you guys do me a favor? Wherever I am, whatever I'm up to, I need someone to come kidnap me and make sure I'm there. I'm going on 3 years of "maybe next year" and its starting to get old.

If you bail next year, I'm going to call your wife, tell her to hit you over the head with your goalie stick, and then we'll tie you up and ship you via freight to Vegas. You'll get a headstart on the hangover feeling everyone had. But you'll have an edge, since you won't get queasy from the smell of liquor!

Dang it. It's just 10 days before my 18th birthday. Will I be able to come if I'm 17?
