we pack minimally...you need a pair of shorts, jeans, couple of clean undies, maybe a few short sleeve shirts, maybe 1 long sleeve or a jacket, a biz casual outfit and if your going clubbing, dress to impress clothing.

or just bring however much you want to *carry*...if your going standby.. do NOT check luggage.

If I can go to Europe for over a week in March on 1 roller bag and a shoulder bag I better be able to get to vegas for a long weekend on less than that.

I have checked 1 box of gifts in the past who knows how long in all of my travels.

I know all too well what happens to checked bags.

I plan on checking a bag but then again I'm flying direct so shouldn't be a problem.

I've seen many a "simple non-stop flight" bags not get re-united with their owners.

More than a few that went non-stop to BOS get tossed onto the BOS-BGR flight.

The only guaranteed way to get your bags at the end of the day is to carry them yourself. Thats what i'll do even with a "guaranteed seat nonstop flight"

For a Vegas trip of a few days, I've found that one of those wheeled suitcases that you can fit in an overhead bin is the perfect size. Then mabye a small backpack/shoulder bag for miscellaneous stuff.

If I can do a week in Whistler with only my rollaboard, my skis, and my bootbag, a weekend in Vegas shouldn't require more than a rollaboard.

And no, ladies, you do not need more than two pair of black pumps!

I packed for eight days using only my rollaboard and a backpack. But I plan on doing laundry... I don't know why, because I only need to wash underwear, and we all know that you don't really need that in Vegas.

You should be fine with just a 22" standard rollaboard.

I just looked at the weather for this weekend. According to weather.com it is supposed to be 69 with a low of 48 on Sunday, and in the mid 70s during the week. So pack appropriately.

I generally don't run into a problem with bringing two LD3 cargo containers; they're compatible with lots of different kinds of planes so while on the pricey side, you'll be prepared for all temperature ranges that LAS may hit during NJC.

So that means shorts, flops and a 'beater. Warm I say.
