NJC T-shirts

After several discussions with Doug and Kristie, we have decided to try and do NJC t-shirts like we did for prior NJC events. I have volonteered to take this on to help them out since they already have a big list of "to do's" for both NJC ORD and NJC Vegas. I am reaching out to you JC'rs who have those photoshop or artwork skills for ideas or to submit a design for the shirts. We are looking forward to a universal design to cover all NJC events not just Vegas as it has been the previous years that shirts were made up. Try to include the things that make NJC what it is and promote Doug's "Pay it Forward". For those that are interested, please PM me.

I majored in graphic design, work in the whole photoshop/illustrator world (doesnt mean I am any good!)

I'd be happy to help out/ take a look at whats up.

Howard, here's an idea to start with. I don't have the graphic skills, but it's a start....Maybe puting the words in circle layout.....something....

Just came up with this idea last night, put it together really quick this morning so its a rough sketch.

I'd say its an "initial draft idea" hows that?

Here is the idea behind it...
Airplane (self explanitory)
The circles around the outside can represent each of something that JC is about (I was thinking filling them with different elements) This could be different types of operations, different forums, different stages of flight training... anything you can think of. These all go in a circle, starting and ending at the top, with the JC logo. Wellll this represents Dougs "Pay it foward" as everything comesback to you and its just a big wheel that we are all connected in.

The Network comes in with the webish look. The lines connecting everything to the aircraft is representative of the network, so at one of the big NJC everything connected? I may be stretching here.

Here's a cool bonus I think... its reminicent of a compass rose, so travel fits in too.

Let me know what you guys think, I didnt think too much about it and just did it so it needs more work. Ideas? Ideas?

Oh, and for the front.

This is totally ripped off (look at the top left of this page) but I thought it would be fun to tie in elements for the forum to the shirt (since you/we stare at the forums for hours)

And a quick note... the logo is kinda off b/c I dont have it, so I tried to quickly make a mock-up of it.

This could look good run across the entire front.

Well I guess you could always use it as a game board some how.

I really like that design. We could put a picture from past NJC's and Official M&G in each circle depicting the differen aspects of NJC. we'd have to keep the colors to a minimum.

Thanks. Yeah the pictures would be neat, is NJC always in Vegas and Chicago? Those could be around the outside or in 2 of the 3 remaining circles.

It used to be just one event and it's always been in Vegas. This is the 5th year of being in Vegas. The Chicago thing is new and will probably be a one time deal for now.

vegas will always be the same but the east coast will always flare to different cities/states if we continue to do east coast.

Kristie, I know a guy who runs a merch company. They do shirts, hoodies, hats, stickers. I got a good hook up here in Vegas when the time comes. Just let me know.
