More for Kristie, but is there any word on discount rated rooms since the main event is there?

Goto www.cheapovegas.com ans see what they have. It is by far the best site for vegas discounts.

I just stayed at the Barbary Coast right across the street from the Bellagio. Its a small place but its right on the strip and it only cost like $99/night. The room was nice sized and had a 42" plasma on the wall; it far exceeded my expectations.

Not bad. I just looked and found a Deluxe Room at the Bellagio for an average of $309/night on Hotels.com. Wouldn't be bad with 3 or 4 people...if you wanted to snuggle.

Terribles is a good pick. If you want to stay on the strip look into The Excalibur or Luxor. They have some cheap weekend rates compared to anyone else on the strip. The Alladin is hurting for business so they have some good rates as well and its across the street from Bellagio.

Private home rentals are an even better deal if you can deal with not being on the strip.

Another option could be the Westin Hotel, it is not that far away from the Bellagio.....

Rio, Gold Coast and Palms are about 2 miles west on Flaming O. Possibly cheaper. I have no clue on hotel rates..But bring your airline IDs!!!!

there aren't many casino resorts that offer employee discounts.. the best bet is to find out where the employees are laying over at (what hotel) and call them separately...

Hey, don't knock it. I stayed there last year for $66/night. Tom Bodette even left the light on for me... ![]() This year though it looks to be $90/night for that time frame.

You can always stay at the Silverton and get the Dirty Trucker Discount. I'll loan you my CDL.

Anyone have the scoop on Bally's? Next door to Bellagio, and looks to be much cheaper... I'm sure they're all the same once you close your eyes!

I've stayed at Bally's a number of times. Big, comfy rooms. Not luxurious but nice. Old skool. Good location. It's connected to Paris so it feels like 2 hotel/casinos in 1. Lots of food options. Featured in Honeymoon in Vegas. ![]() I think Paris is worth the extra money, though. Very nice rooms.
