Dispatcher Career - Is Age a Factor

Looking at age 57 to start new career as a Dispatcher but wonder if employers may think I am too old. Has anyone or do you know of anyone who believes he/she has not been hired due to age? Surfed through circa 20 pages of threads re this subject, did not see any, so apologize if this terroritory has been covered. Thanks for replies.
