Studio 54 Anyone?

I'm taking names for those who are interested in going to Studio 54 on Friday night @ 10pm (when it opens and before the dreaded "line" strikes)...Studio 54 is a 21 and up club only and on Friday's the cover charge, from what i recall, is Free for the women, $20 for the men. Now, the website doesn't actually say that, so they could have changed it -> i'll verify that when I call for a table.

Dress Code is strictly enforced: No baggy jeans, shorts, tennis shoes, recreational shoes or work boots. Club type wear required!

and they do enforce it, when I had my bachelorette party, one of the girls wore sailing tenny's (those white small tennis shoes) and they turned her away because of that, so we decided not to go and went over to RA instead (which is also a pretty fun place!).

I will be trying to reserve a table, depending on how many people we have that are interested and will be planning on going....

HOw far is this place from the hotel? Would we be taking a cab there or walking? (I need to konw in order to pick out clothes)

Studio 54 is in MGM which is about a 5-10 minute walk from Hawthorn, so we'd be walking there.. RA is in luxor, whiich is 3 casino's down from New York New York... NY NY is right across the LV strip from MGM...The luxor is far enough that, with my feet, I'd be taking a cab! haha but you can walk it!

The only problem is if we go to MGM and to RA, it'll be very expensive (2 cover charges) and there's usually lines at all the clubs by 11pm... so i'd rather just stick to one club and from goingto both, Studio54 is just better for all the LV newbies! Which is why I think me and Nessa are gonna sit this one out. While I enjoy going to bars and clubs, she's allergic to cigarette smoke in large quantities. I think we were some of the few people that were happy about FL banning smoking in restaurants......

they have more fog type smoke than cigarette smoke (they also have very good ventilation unless you standing next to someone with a smoke)... but even though, there'll be some cigarette smoke all over the casinos! depending on the casino, most have very good ventilation!

and because the waitresses aren't passing around a lot of drinks (fast enough), not that many people are smoking anymore there... makes it kinda of interesting and more fun to gamble and NOT be buzzed!! which just means you play with a harder head and win more often too...

Count us in too (Myself and the girlfriend)...one note though, Kristie, we arrive that night at midnight, and we will be on the very first taxi to Studio 54! You guys can get the place warmed up for us!

get your room first, drop your stuff off, bring your cell phone and call to find out where in Studio54 we are - or we'll meet you at the door.. you might have a pretty little wait to get in there, but there's also an entrance at the bottom of the stairs that you can try to use too....

it's like there's 2 entrances, one upstairs at the entrance of the casino from Tropicana.. and one downstairs underneath the upstairs entrance...if that makes any sense...
