bought tickets!

Hey guys just wanted to let people know John H and I are officially coming now...bought the tickets tonight. We're flying everyone's favorite airline

SWA who happens to be running a super sweet deal right now ($92/each way) from DTW to vegas. so those in the detroit area who want to go, southwest is going cheap!

$92 each way, yikes Not bad. I paid $218 each for my wife and I from MSP on AmericaWest. When are you guys getting into Vegas? Were getting in Friday before noon. See Ya there.

we're getting in at 1pm on friday. How is everyone planning to get from the airport to the hotel? Is there a shuttle service or is it close enough to take a taxi?

I think Kristie is keeping note of when people get in. If a few are arriving around the same time we can double up on a cab. I checked the hotel info and did not see that they had an airport shuttle. It is rather close to the airport though about 1.5 miles I believe. Check out the map layout below. The hotel is the little blue Hawthorn logo.

I doubt if there's a shuttle, but cabs in LAS are plentiful and cheap. I think, if I remember correctly, you can get door to door service from McCarran to the hotel for about $10.

Come to think of it, I don't think any hotel has a shuttle unless you're a high roller!

Nessa and I are flying in on SWA (surprise) from Nashville on Friday morning. We should be there sometime before 10 AM. Taking that first flight out of BNA if anyone wants to ride along (Lloyd?).

Was thinking of flying there... who wants to hitch a ride?

If we split the cost, depending on how many people come it will be around 50 to 80 one way; I'll probably fly there anyway since my car sucks so if you can't pay that's fine too

Still don't know how long I'm staying, I will definately try to make the big event and stay overnight.

Me too. Extra funds are tied up in getting my CFI right now. In theory, I can get to Vegas for free. In reality, non-revving from MCI to Vegas is not very easy. Perhaps next year...*sigh*
