Just my .02...let an airline train you to fly a jet. I'd recommend not paying for that training...

hmmm.. im trainin at the aviator and i was thinkin, wat if i were to get my CFI rating done, give abt 100-150 hrs dual, and also get the jet standards training done. will that give me an edge over the other applicants?

or am i better off doin my CFI CFII MEI and building up my twin time as i instruct here at the aviator, and then applyin to the regionals without the jet standards thing done???

or or, after im done with my trainin CFI (SE) i shd have abt 180hrs twin time (with out MEI). then head back to austin,TX and instruct there on single engine-G1000 to build time??(dont have to pay rent there) will that be better/quicker way to build up experience instructing in glass cockpit single engines rather than twin engines?

just tryin to get info on all my alternatives available... any info/advice will be real helpful.

thanks
feras.

Stay there, build your time.. Most airlines don't let you count safety pilot time as legit multi time, so you might subtract that and then build on whats left.
