Default Summer internshiphs at KJFK or KISP

I want to ask out their if any one knows any internships at Kenedy or Islip airport Long island NY, as a major in pro pilot i want to start building up my resume as im finishing up my semester and im going to be a junior next fall. time is going fats for me im starting to fly again and finishing up my private in the summer and hopefuly will be doing instrument training by the fall and once i know it im going to start applying for jobs with the regionals or charter flight so im asking for help with this!!!

That said, perhaps you might want to consider making the sacrifice and moving for the summer....Those internships can definately be worth it.

If your at a school that has a flight program, check with them about internships. Or, you might want to call other schools that are big in aviation (purdue, kent state, ohio state, etc) and just call up the flight department and ask about internships. No need to tell them that you arent a student. :} Give them your email to send the info to...

Yeah I'm a senior now, and I was looking at internships for the summer as well. I am not at an aviation college, so I dont know what they can do as "contacts" (ie: lower prereqs bc you are at an aviation college) goes, but theyre reqs were 200-250 hrs PIC time and that you have to be a junior or a senior I believe. This was South West. It migth have changed though. However, if you want an internship, esp with the big airlines, consider moving around like Propilot said. Good luck.
