|  Jobs in St. Petersburg/Clearwater?!?
Hey everyone I was hoping you could give me so info jobs around the area. It doesn't have to be in aviation, just something for me to make money while I am in flight training. Any thing would work just need some help. I am coming out of the service so its been a while since I have had to look for a job ya know. Thanks in Advance

I live in St Pete. True that Signature is usually hiring. Also, the bars (like the place I work) and restaurants start hiring around the end of Jan. beginning of Feb. to get ready for season. The one down side is any job on the beach is seasonal so from Nov to Jan can be REALLY slow. Some people work on the beach for summer then get a job more inland for the "off-season"

I have my private pilot ticket, I work on blackhawk helicopters in the army, I have been around all the equipment thats on a flight line (military) kind atleast. I have refueled planes before just helping out at the airport i was doing my flight training.

I have lived in Tampa for the past 7 years and I have never heard of a shortage of jobs. As far as jobs at FBO's. I know that Leading Edge Aviation is hiring line techs. www.leadingedgeaviation.com (they have new website being developed and will be launched very soon).
But, I think no matter what you are looking to do, you can do it in the Tampa, St Pete area.

How about Avantair? They have an FBO at PIE in addition to their operations and maintenance facility. There should be some sort of opportunity that could get you a foot in if you wanted to fly for them in the future. I know one of their FOs worked in scheduling before flying for them.

Thanks for the info!! I am not sure what is down there because I have not been home in like 3 years. So any more info would be great since I will need some kind of job right away to pay for apartment and what not.
