|  St. Petersburg, FL Anyone? Hey guys/Gals I was wanting to see how many of you all are around the St. Pete/ Clearwater/Tampa area? I will be living there for a few years and going to flight school at Clearwater Aviation Academy at KPIE. I hope to meet up with you if your in the area. I will be therearound may 09' I have to deploy in the next few weeks for 15 months to Iraq and then I will be done with the Military. So let me know who's who and where so we can chat will I am over seas and then meet up when I am in town!

There's another dude that goes to USF who flies safety pilot for me a lot. | Re: St. Petersburg, FL Anyone? Hey that sounds great!! If you could lead me in the direction of those who go to clearwater aviation academy. I would fly safety pilot for ya! I have my ppl already. I will be coming from Ft. Hood, TX. Thanks its my third time going and the last so I will be on my tip toes to make it out just fine. I will try to post pics in the other thread of Iraq. I am a blackhawk crew chief so I fly every day.

| Re: St. Petersburg, FL Anyone? flyguy969 is the guy going to Clearwater Aviation Academy - do a search for him and you should be able to contact him. So far I think he likes it there. KPIE is a great airport to fly out of - you get a lot of experience working around heavies and helos, and the weather is great during the Fall/Winter/Spring here. Summers get nasty, though. But do keep us posted on how things are going there. Stay safe man! |
