| hey guys! Anyone using linkedin.com as a networking tool for aviation? I just had a quick search on there and found quite a few senior captains for Fedex, UPS, ABX, and alot of the regionals. The tricky part is linking with them...especially if you dont know them...so a couple of ideas. What you can do is a couple of things. 1. link to a person who hasa huge network and use them to send an intro to them basically saying: "hey id like to expand my network of aviation related people and would love if you would link to me etc etc" 2. or send them a direct link request (this is trickier)and when it asks you for how you know them or your reason for contacting them etc...put ALPA (if they are from a union carrier). I've found alot of the alpa guys are more than happy to network with you. Will it ever come to anything??? who knows...but the fact that you are interfacing with people from all areas of flying is a good thing. so just a tip...take a look at linkedin Cheers Last edited by aussieflyer; October 13th, 2007 at 00:44. | Why not put jetcareers as one of the organizations that you belong to? |
