| I would love to live and fly in Alaska - at least for a little while. If the right opportunity presented itself I would consider making it a permanent move. It would all depend on pay, contracts, and potential for growth. The usually list. ![]() |

| Old Skool | I would love to get back up there and fly some more. Flying out of Palmer was so much fun, going out to Talkeetna, and Kenai. Great fun. ![]()

| PPRAG.... I just got back from Anchorage on Sat...went up for a 2-week vacation while the wife worked out of the office. I managed to squeeze some flying in at my old stompin' grounds. What are you doin' up there and where are you at? I had to go back up to ensure I get my dividend check next year ($$$, :-) Pac Man |

| It is my dream to live and fly in Alaska. I've been to Alaska twice in the summer. I want to make a winter trip to see what it's like.

| I had the good fortune to fly in Alaska this passed summer. I wish I were a good enough photographer to do it justice. http://jfc17.smugmug.com/gallery/3148490

| Whats the weather and climate like in Alaska? Is it IFR all the time? Do snow storms roll in all the time? Is it pretty much sub-zero all year around? Recently I've been toying with the idea of maybe looking for work in Alaska. |

As for flying conditions, couldn't as for better, must of the wx is VFR during the summer, the only really IFR times come around march in spring, and september and october in fall. When winter comes into full swing its usually too cold for hard core solid IFR for more than 2 days. The flying is great, and fun. You can legally land on roads, gravel bars, anything pretty much. Most people like airplane noise. However, if you've ever used your certs to woo a girl, don't count on that up here. It seems like everyone and their brother is a pilot, and most people can recognize and identify a super cub. -pat | |
