Default Moving to Spokane, looking for work

Due to an illness in the family I am moving to Spokane, Wa, anybody have any knowledge of the local market.

I have looked into Empire and Big Sky as well as Executive Flight and Edwards. I would love any information on these or other operators in the area.

Thanks for any information.

Big Sky you'd have to commute to Billings, not pretty, but they are probably fairly easy to get on with. Empire is out of COE but I don't think they really base pilots, there. A couple of runs out of GEG but I bet it's very senior. Otherwise, you live where the plane is. Ex Flight is in Wenatchee, a 2.5 hour drive. Edwards, no idea what you're talking about.

There are a few flight schools and not much else going on in Spokane.

Thanks for the info, Spokane really seems to be limited. I grew up there but have lived and flown Charter in the Midwest because of the job security here.

I would think that the increase in population and housing costs would bode well for the aviation sector in and around Spokane but we will just have to wait and see.

Aeroflight is based in Boeing field but the have one run out of spokane. Probably not a good chance though since you can only accept that one route. Empire would be cool, but it's hard to get on there. Big Sky is currently taking 600TT and 50ME, fyi.

Thanks for the info, I will look into aeroflight as I am not familiar with that company. Concerning Big Sky and Empire I have not heard back yet. Sometimes I wonder if these type of operators shy away from guys with more experience, assuming they are either abby normal or would not like the job. Anyway sent Big Sky three resumes with 5000TT, multiple type ratings and good references without a single reply. I'll just keep looking.
