Default ORL area Pilots

Just wanted to drop a note. Just trying to get to know a few more people in the area. Most of my pilot contacts are out of the area.
I am rated(CFI/CFII/MEI), and wanting to fly more. If ever anyone needs someone to fly right seat let me know. (ie. PM me)

I'll be back down in a couple of weeks. Hopefully, I'll be down there full time as a CFI this summer.

Hey I fly out of Air Orlando at ORL. PPL w/Instrument rating just starting my commercial. Been flying about a year and a half and have 300+ hours. I've been flying the 182 G1000 lots of fun.

Sweet. I got my PPL and instrument at Air Orlando. I had to bail when Charley 86'ed N76RM since I was working on my Comm ME.

I'm quite a bit Southeast of you guys at BCT. I might be going to UCF in two years though. Just wondering, is there any flight training at MCO?

No training at MCO that I know of. I'm a junior at UCF right now will be done next summer. Let me know if you need to know anything about the school or the area. It's a lot of fun up here and the flight training at ORL is great.

Yeah, it's hard enough to get a practice approach into MCO during the day. After like 10 PM, you can fly as many as you want. Flight training in Orlando is pretty much either ORL, SFB or ISM.

Actually, I might be going back to ORL. I'm sending resumes to a few flight schools, and Air Orlando is near the top of the places we'd like to go. All of my friends are still in Orlando, and so are all of my wife's friends. We'd have child care more or less taken care of down there, too. I don't consider myself "living"in GKY, though. More or less just passing through for a couple of months. That being said, instructing at Skymates wouldn't suck too badly, either.

Before those damn hurricanes, I lived in one place for 7 years.....

So after 7 years so you got the itch. I wouldnt blame you for going back to Air Orlando. Every time I was in the store over there I was really impressed with the instructors. Didnt seem to pressure anyone and I never heard a negative comment except that ATA was hogging the run up area.

The owner Sam is a very attractive lady also. Makes the meal more enjoyable. Try the Chicken Parmeasan sandwitch.

I did my private over at X-39 in Tampa. I'm currently over in DAB working in my instrument and commercial

X-39 is a cool name for an airport.

If you ever get the chance fly just south and east of OCF and you will come to Greystone. It is a private airport and you cannot land there, but it is John Travolta's house. You can see his 737 and Learjet sitting on the tarmac next to his house!!! Must be nice to be able to build your own 7500ft strip. By the way, I am in Deland(KDED).

His large aircraft is a 707 (4 engine), not a 737 (2 engine). There is one day a year that they have an open fly-in, but not sure when that is.

Actually he didn't build it. It was already there. It is part of an airpark called Jumbolair and others live there too.

Sorry bout the confusion, I flew by only once, at about 5500MSL so I didnt get a good look. I just thought it was a 737. And on my sectional it is named Greystone. I dont see anything on there about JumboLair.
