| Old Skool | Can't blame Gojet for it, this could happen to anyone, I'm sure they will learn from it and it won't happen again.

Well, Mesa during the Larry Risely days did eventually learn not to use "Mopar" on the Beech 1900's at the RFD maintenance base so there's hope.

| Old Skool | Atlantic Southeast Airlines Atlantic Southeast Airlines is a subsidiary of Delta Airlines, an above average safety analysis airlines. Atlantic Southeast Airlines has had engine maintenance problems in the past. Since 1985 Atlantic Southeast Airlines has had 33 fatalities, 58 FAA incidents, 20 NTSB incidents, and 24 FAA violations/fines in 1997-2000. I'm just saying that every airline has their own problem that is all. Every airline learns from their mistake. I'm not sure why you had to call me out on it.

| GoJet is not like every other airline. Hulas, their CEO, is the scum of the Earth. He doesn't "learn" from his mistakes, because he doesn't view them as mistakes. Maintenance "oversights" are merely calculated risks designed to make him more money at the expense of everyone else's safety. ASA makes mistakes. Delta makes mistakes. AirTran makes mistakes. GoJet is negligent. Big difference.

All you are telling me that Gojet is careless that is all. Unless you can prove that someone got hurt because of these action, then it's not negligent. I will agree with you I don't approve how Gojet was started and I don't approve the ASA endorsement, but I just don't have enough hate to bash on Gojet all day long. I'm sure you do because I've noticed your negativity against Gojet on other forums.

| "That is all?" Are you kidding? We're talking about aviation safety here, my friend. Being careless costs people their lives. You seem to think that it's ok because somebody caught them on this one before someone got hurt, but that doesn't make it ok. Safety should always be the top priority, and it isn't for scum like Hulas. Quote:

I got a I love Horizon sticker on my flight bag. But anyways I've taken some aviation safety classes and I've noticed that a lot of these fines come from inspections or crashes. Which means to me that the airlines somewhere messed up and got caught by the FAA. That is why I brought up the Southwest, they were flying around with cracks in the fuselage. Oh it nice to be able to talk to someone that is passionate about flying.

| Ah, but which one of those airlines has made mistakes that killed people, smart guy?

| Give them time. GoJet will plant one. An airline that struggles to find qualified crew members that are willing to work there, even during the biggest economic downturn in 70 years, is an accident waiting to happen.

See that is what I don't get. You can have the best pilots in the world and something will happen. I haven't seen an airplane go down in the US for a long time that was caused by maintenance problems. I think the last was Alaska, but since then it was caused by birds or pilot error. It just seems to me that you want Gojet to go down, so you can prove your point. I'm not trying to bash on you or anything, just trying to get inside your brain.

Cruise and Doug: Points taken, thanks for being helpful and respectful. Bottom line, even though my research has convinced me most of you have it wrong regarding GoJet, it's pointless to continue beating that drum, so I'm going to lay it down. However, PCL_128 is still a hypocrite in my book, regardless of whatever he's done to atone for his sins against the profession. Scabs are never pardoned, why should he? The dude throws stones like he's never sinned in his life, when he should really be enjoying himself a bottomless cup of S.T.F.U.

Nah, no one needs to quit, but more need to recognize when it's time to agree to disagree and move on to other topics.

But I can counter that by saying that the FDA say that peanut butter is safe if you buy it in a jar from the supermarket. Unfortunately I had a frozen peanut butter mud pie. I'm too young to die, I haven't even bought my first alcohol beverage yet.

Mmmm. Whataburger. Always good after a few beers and getting shot down at the bar. The only way to salvage not going home empty handed.
