Default Best way to get in the ANG?

Hey guys-

Being a college graduate with a PPL, what would be the best way to get an ANG slot?

Check some of the pages in this section of the forum, there's numerous informative threads on the very subject.

Enlist, many Guard units like to hire from within. I enlisted back in 2000, and I now have a UPT slot. Just remember if you do enlist, you have a commitment to the job you enlisted for, no sitting around letting time go by. You have until age 30 with the Guard for a slot.

Since you are a college graduate though, you could just go ahead and start applying for slots with units now.

Pardon the "silly question" but what does UPT stand for? I'm thinking something Pilot Training?

UPT stands for Undergraduate Pilot Training.
