| Old Skool | I might be going to Iraq later this year, so I was just trying to do the math to see if financially I am losing out against my civilian job. I figured i I will be paid: (Single, no dependents) Base pay (untaxed) BAH BAS Hardship pay Combat pay (is this the same as hazard pay?) Will I be getting per diem? I wouldnt think so, but I heard its like 11 bucks a day. Is there anything I am missing? thanks

| If you are married and deploying more than 30 days you should also get family separation allowance (FSA-II) which is $250.00 per month. Also being AF, you MIGHT be deployed to a hotel (depending on location). If this is the case, you will make A LOT of per diem. I am guessing though that you will be on base making crap.

I dunno, I am in the GUARD. If they try to put in the barracks I might have to pull out my guard card. HAHA!
