| How hard would it be to pick up a flying slot with the National Guard if your already with a regional/major. All considering your within the age limits, and have the 4-year degree, etc, etc? Is this pretty dependent on the unit? Does anyone have a shot or is it mostly a "hire within" type of thing? Thanks!

Guys with 200+ hours, 90s on all AFOQT sections, 90 PCSMs, recs from generals, etc get passed up all the time. Of course there is a preference to guys in the unit, but guys get picked up off the street too. Also, consider looking in to the difference between "your" and "you're." It'll help with the verbal section of the AFOQT. Nevertheless, I'll be sending out packets to squadrons around the nation in less than a year. Best of luck.

| You did not specify Air Guard or Army Guard. If you are interested in RW flying in addition to your FW flying, the Army Guard and Reserve (in most cases), are looking for pilots. They will send you to flight school and AQC (aircraft qualification course). |
