Default American Legion Boys State

Hello,

I have received the opportunity to attend American Legion Boys State. I am looking forward to joining the Air National Guard after I graduate high school and was thinking maybe this would look good on my transcipt since it is one of the largest veteran run organizations.

How many of you have attended Boys State? Was it worth going to?

I'm trying to decide whether it is worth a week in Miami, Oklahoma at college dorms or not.

Thanks in advance for all your help.

If I wanted to hang around a bunch of dudes all day I would have gone to ERAU, Purdue, or USAFA.

I attended a Boys State long ago and it was a great experience. My only regret was not getting involved more in the program. As for it being something to put on your resume...it couldn't hurt. Also, I'm sure that there will be recruiters from most of the services that will give presentations...thats a good networking opportunity. Actually, one of the counselors was a West Point cadet. Hope that helps

I went to Boy's State in CT. I also regret not getting more involved. If it is not too late, def. go. It looks REALLY REALLY good on transcripts plus some parts are kind of fun.
