| Old Skool | There has been some talk about doing this recently, so I am volunteering to head this up. Here's the deal: I have put out a call to hundreds of service-members to send me their deployed addresses. These addresses are coming in now. If you would like to send a care package, let me know and I will PM you an address. But PLEASE - if you ask for an address, please, please actually mail something out. The addresses I give will most likely include the commander's or another officer's name. This is just a point of contact because the packages cannot be addressed to "Any Soldier" or anything like that. The Officers will distribute the packages to their troops. If you ask for an address and it takes a while for me to respond, don't worry... I'll get you an address eventually. For normal priority mail, packages must be shipped by Dec 9th to make it by Christmas. (That's what's published, but I don't believe it. Dec 1 might be a better bet.) And thanks in advance for supporting our troops! Edited to add: If a Mod thinks this is worthy enough to "Sticky," it would be appreciated. |
