http://www.ehowa.com/showmovie.shtml...fghanistan.wmv Not very good quality, the first 2 shots actually look like rocks, but the third is definetely a head. I assume they used a .50 BMG , the impact looks a lot greater then a .308

That HAD to be a .50cal. Not much out there that would reach as far as some of those shots were. But DAYUM!!! Didnt know a 700-800grain bullet would explode a human body like that.

It isn't a Marine sniper in Afgahnistan. It is a varmint hunting expedition that somebody posted awhile back on the net telling everybody it was a Marine sniper team in Afgahnistan. The video comes from a varmint hunting website (I don't think I have the link any longer) dedicated to hunting Rockchucks.

Yeah. IIRC, a few guys I know tried to email a few of the sites showing the vid and tell them what the video really was but the websites never changed the description as far as I know. Interesting video though. IIRC, I think they were using either a .223 or a .22-250 (might have been a .308 but I don't think so). A .308 is sort of overkill, of course, some of the varmint hunters I have met are nuts. So who knows. LOL!

I believe the way I heard it was that an M-82 (or civilian equivalent) was used for this (hunting). I'm pretty sure the Barrett is a .50 calibre weapon.
