I am a big fan of flying clubs. I have owned an airplane and flinched every time someone looked it over ("you didn't get the AD for that, whoo that's an expensive one"). I love indignantly writing up squawks and having the whole group absorb the expense. When you rent there is just no way to take an airplane for a whole weekend much less a week or two and I count on half a dozen trips to our Wisconsin cabin. Cloud7 is awesome with the range of equipment (I don't even fly the 210s) and my only concerns now are (a) the schedule hogs who clock an airplane out becuase they "might fly" and (b) I wish the group would invest in airborne weather and 406Mhz ELTs, it shifts the expense directly to me to schlep the handheld equivalent. Might as well be a lowly renter ...

Yes indeed, Cloud7 it is. I have had my acct on non-flying status for a while and just haven't made the time to go. I tried for a bit to sell but to no avail. I know though that if I do sell I will need pay $120 /hr at Tbird. That is just too crazy. I know we have a nother cloud 7 member here too.
