hey Pat
twin bee cost is $450 per hr and there is no minimum amount of time required, just efficiency but you know that so, sounds like $1600 & up. they dont fly much in summer because of the heat. my friend instructing there will be here flying for us again this summer. it is possible we may have an opening for an extra pilot this summer, not sure yet.
I train over at Aerotech and one of the many in 63414...I see you all the time on the field. I helped someone over at Sparknack (sp) that put their car in the ditch a month or so ago...wasn't you was it?
yo Pat,
cost of the twin bee? i'll check. i was gonna go down and do it this winter but didnt make it. probly around $1500 to $2000 depending on how many hrs ya spend to get it done. it shouldnt be more than that. i'll get back to ya.
hey Pat. a friend of mine, who also flies for Homer Air during the summer, is an instructor at Browns Seaplane Base in FL. the y have a "Twin Bee". yep, multi version of the Sea bee. they didnt make many. says it wont fly with one engine but has a pretty controllable glide though. another friend of mine (a smokey bay pilot) just got her multi sea rating there in the "Twin Bee" and loved it! lemme know when and i'll hook ya up with them.
so, youre gonna stay in AK for the next year and a half?
hey Pat, checkout Wiggins Airways, a freight company in New Hampshire. they fly 30 caravans and 15? Beech 99's. theyre hiring. 2000 hrs is there min....
Also look at Seabourn Airlines in the Caribbean, they fly Twotters on floats! a pax op though.
Hey, what day are your classes over the aviation complex? I will probably see you around, as I have all evening classes over there this semester. I am almost always wearing a blue hat with a K on it.
