So. Engineering is funny business.

I'm putting in the paperwork to apply for the peace corps.

I want to do it, but I don't know if I really want to do it. If you know what I mean.

In the mean time I'm working one night a week.

Good thing the parents are letting me live at home.

At least I'm not turning 40 like my uncle and still living with my parents.

So I have to fly the Saturday before and the Sunday after Thanksgiving. Not looking forward to that one bit.

At least I'm not trying to non-rev, as someone else feels it is important enough for me to be in IAH and OKC to spend $1000 to get me there.

I have 2 second interviews 10 days apart to be a field engineer for oilfield services companies. It will be a good way to put some money in the bank for retirement if I don't blow it all on airplanes, boats, hookers, booze...

Whoo hoo!

Just got an email inviting be to a second interview with an oilfield services company in Oklahoma City. I'll be there Nov 30 to Dec 2 for that. Syched about that.

Not so syched about the fact that my ski season may already be over.

Maybe I'll have a job here shortly. Maybe, maybe not.

I had an interview to do stuff on oil rigs about six months ago and didn't hear a thing from them. I really want this gig, It's cool and pays VERY well. I need to hound these guys first. From my interview I think they didn't like my lack of experience in the field. I got that now over the summer. We'll see.

fingers crossed......

Until I am no longer an undergraduate engineering student.

Not that I'm counting or anything.

I should be doing homework (or flying) but I'm here on JC.....Go figure!
