Try the USCG Auxillary, I have been doing it for like 10 years. Depends on the area but they have both boat and planes. They are much more aligned with the USCG then the CAP is with the USAF

You are getting overcharged for ground that is not occurring. I agree with the insurance policy that CAMS has; I couldn't get checked out in the PA44 because I didn't have 500 hrs tt. Complete crock of bs considering I had just finished with ATP and at the time 75% of my 250 hrs were in the Seminole and I'm and MEI! Oh well. Just a proposal...I would be more than willing to give you instruction. At this point, demands for flight instructors are so low that I would be happy to give you instruction minus the instructor fees. Your plane or ours, it matters not to me.
