hi there mshunter, your original post seems to be quite popular

looks like youre finding out that what you heard (like me) during your initial training, "pilots are a different breed of people with extraordinary character & abilities" is a bit untrue. they can be quite big headed egotistocal & lacking of any descent moral character & these tend to be worse than non-pilots. but, i have also met some wonderfull pilots too

i payed my dues for several years by delivering pizza, working at FBO's, flight instructed and took any and every odd flying gig i could get to increase my experience. its a very competitive & cutthroat business... blah blah blah, sorry...
your ifr experience is just fine. FAA IFR 135 minimums only require 1200 TT, 500 hrs xc, 100 hrs night and 75 hrs IFR "simulated or actuall"..... and from my experience most of the 135 operators require the same and no more. dont try 141, when ya did get hired you'd just eventually get furloughed. youre not far from that 1200TT. start looking into Ameriflight. theyre the biggest freight co in the U.S. and have good bennies and all that..... theyd start ya in a single (probly) then on to a navajo, metro or brasilia... or ya could try Alaska where i am and be in a pilots paradise. you can get a 135 vfr gig here at 500TT but its hard flying and can be pretty risky (3rd most deadly job in the world).... ya just gotta pay your dues unless youre lucky and just have everything fall in your lap like some people do! it'll happen, just dont give up. good things come to those who wait.
