    Hey boss,

Yeah, it went alright. The white looks a bit pink, and the doc will even tell you this before you take the test. He gives you a practice run, too.
My problem was that the white started looking yellow, but I think this had something to do with me staring a hole through the darn contraption. Still, I passed.
He'll run you through a cycle of 10 combinations in an examining room lit by normal fluorescent lights. It goes one on top of another- so it could be red over green, white over red, red over red, any combination of the 3 colors. If you get none wrong out of those 10, you pass. If you get something wrong, he'll run through 2 more cycles of ten each. If you get an average of 1 wrong per cycle, you pass. I missed one the first time through, missed one my 2nd time through, and aced the 3rd. Took 10 minutes.
As for the 'green looking white', I didn't notice that on the test. I will say that when driving at night, newer green traffic signals will appear white to me from afar.

Hope this helps. Shoot me another message with any other questions.

Hey Coop-814...i read your post about the AME in Phoenix! I am going to see him too. I am like you labeled as colorblind yet i see all the damn aviaiton colors just fine never had a problem in my 70 flight hours. anyway i need to take the test and get this over with to get the signal control restrict. off my 3rd class. How was the test can you give as much detail as you can on how the lights looked. I hear people say ooo the green looks white...whats that mean? I saw the picture from the Flight Surgeons web site and the white looks white, yellowish or amber, green looks green and red looks red.

    thanks darren
