Default Studying in the A&P field.

I'm also finished with the General of the A&P program at Broward College in FL. Next semester I'm either going to have Airframe or Powerplant, I'm joining this forum mainly to see the deal with the rest of the A&P's and the whole outlook of the Aviation industry. I know times have been tough, but I know that everything will change for the better.

Welcome. I started out instructing for 2 years and have been working as an A&P for about 3 months now. It's an interesting life for sure!

Can you please elaborate when you said the "interesting" part?

Sorry, if I'm being a hassle, I'm just curious.

Punching a time clock for 12/hour with no bennies.

Learning that not everything is as neat and tidy as it was in A&P school.

Knowing that you really have to watch out and be careful not to risk your ticket.

Enough?

I am slowlying working with a couple different A&Ps to build my time towards taking the A&P test but its a long process. I'm only doing it bc they actually pay me to be a shop hand and if I ever do get my A&P it will make owning my own airplane cheaper!
