Still over here, flown to Paris, Farnborough and Biggin Hill. I am in Geneva tonight waiting to see if any trips pop up tomorrow. Otherwise I am on Delta on Sunday from CDG to ATL...

How does one score a gig like that?

| Corporate gig is not as glorified as it seems, scheduling sucks. Your quality of life sucks. I'm in corporate aviation so i know.

| Old Skool | Sounds like you work at a regional and not corp.

The big negative about corporate aviation is the lack of a firm schedule. You are always on call and that can greatly affect your social life. For example, we have a client who owns a global express and he is korean. His aircraft is based in Maryland and when he wants to go to Korea, the crews have to be notified ASAP (regardless of what time) and start making arrangements to get that plane to Korea. They also live in other states so they have to book their plane tickets right away to meet the plane in Maryland and cancel whatever they had to get this mission done whether it be a birthday, anniversary or anything else that is significant. Surely the compensation in a corporate gig is not bad at all but it's just so much to put up with. It also sucks when you have an owner who is notoriously late all of the time and you now have to extend your duty day from 14hrs to 16 hrs, then if you have an early flight the next day, you may have to get a reduced rest from 10hrs to 8 hrs. Ah...the life of a pilot!

| It wasn't aimed at you. There was a thread where some guys couldn't see why 91 guys should get paid what they get paid. CRJ vs global express 121 vs 91/135

I'd rather be an Account VP, make more money, have nights off, play golf on the weekends and have the power to fire guys who purposely don't pick up their phones when needed to fly.

No complaints here. Excellent company, they really value the QOL of their pilots. Everything is first class.

You mean I can't continuously blast someone on the forum, never show up to meet and greets to put a human face behind the username and expect help?
