Default Newbie Here!

Hello everyone! I made an introductory post a while back, but it was in the wrong forum (Sorry). I've been a lurker for quite a while and now I would like to get involved. JC is a wonderful site and I'm glad I came across it!

Anyways... I have been attending a smaller university in Kansas for a while and I was never able to find that "dream job". Last August I enrolled in a ground school class just for fun (Always had an interest in aviation). Soon thereafter I began taking lessons and instantly fell in love with it. I now know that there is no way that I will be satisfied with any other career.

I will be finished with my private certificate this summer and I will be transferring to K-State and enrolling in their professional pilot program. I've been researching the different career paths for about the last six months and I'm certain that this is the best path for me. I'm currently 21 years old so I think I made the right decision changing now instead of later in life.

I also wanted to know if anyone had any advice to help me in this path. I would especially like to hear specifics if there are any K-State graduates that went through the professional pilot program.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks everyone! I know I haven't been able to make any contributions so far, but I have learned so much already just from reading. You all seem like a great bunch and I look forward to learning more about the industry from an insider's point of view. Hopefully I'll have some advice I can offer new students down the road.
