I was finally hired with Sierra in Atwater as a CFI. Can't wait to really start flying for money!

Congratulations on the job. Good for you for taking the CFI road. I instructed for 2 years and 8 months before moving to the regionals. I got a lot from flight instructing. If you don't have it, get that CFII and MEI quick. Then, get up in IMC and shoot approaches. Don't be afraid to take you students in the soup. It's great for the days you need to do maneuvers, but can't get out or in without instrument flying.

Congratulations again, and have fun.

CONGRATS..and thanks for the info. Looks like I'll be following in a couple weeks. Funny thing..I left California to go fly and now I'm headed back.

Sierra is a pretty good gig. Atwater is kinda like the O'Hare of GA airports, you have NO IDEA how busy it can get there at times. Don't be surprised if you are #10 for takeoff at some point during the day. That place is crazy!!
