Welcome to Piedmont. Exactly what was said earlier, if you want to fly ALOT got to SBY. Mostly great people to work with. If you have any questions through ground school or the sim, feel free to ask!

This thread brings back memories.... I'm an ex-ALG guy from the late 90's, based at Ice Station Bingo, and probably flew with alot of those "very experienced Captains".

Have fun in training - you'll love the Dash. I flew the Dash then went to the CRJ and if I ever walk onto the ramp and there is a Dash and CRJ/ERJ sitting side by side - I'll pick the Dash everyday of the week and twice on Sundays.

With the way things are going half the employed pilots on this forum will be lucky to have jobs this time next year...let alone be able to help someone else get in.

Taildragger, just an fyi in case you haven't seen it. It has been pretty clearly established that we will not be getting new planes anytime soon. Nor, despite what I'm sure BT and the others at your interview said, we do not have flow through. BUT I am not trying to discourage you from working here, personally, I love it. Just wanted to make sure you don't have dreams of flying a Q for us.

Hey thanks for the replies everyone. Sorry it took me so long to get back to everyone. I've been away from the laptop for a few days.

Class starts in July but it looks like they might be moving that back since their sims are backed up. I've heard that there has been delays of up to 10 weeks from the time ground school was finished and the time that the sim started.

How is ground school? I have the home self study stuff for the AQP training. They said that it was really short.

As far as flying the Q400. While it would be nice, if PDT never gets one I wont miss it. I'd like to think that I have have DOTS instead of SJS. DOTS is "Dirty old turboprop syndrome." The turboprop appeals to me.
