Default Three deadheads in two days

Well I finally get to start IOE after having three weeks off. My first day they are deadheading me from DAY-CLT-TYS. From there I end up back in DAY. Then the next day the deadhead me from DAY-CLT to start round two. I'm looking forward to flying again. Hope to see some of you fine folks out on the line.

Well I am not going to say it but we did warn you! Welcome to the world of how schedules are run here.... You will sit pleanty of DHDs in your time here..... However especially for IOE they are putting you where the IOE captains are.... Therefore since you are at the very bottom and doing IOE you are going to go where we have IOE captains.... It should be fun.... no worries... Three weeks off I hope you enjoyed.... Best advice I got was to enjoy the time off when you had it..... I'm sure we will all run into you on the road...... you are based in DAY currently still correct? That should be changing because you want TYS right?

Also get use to sitting.... we'll see what we do... but I've worked a total of 3 days this month.... and out of the largest class we've had here in a while.... 3 this month is the most of all 20 of my classmates....

Also I have you beat... 3 deadheads in one day... to work one leg..... and of which all you are extended to 15 hours due to a wx issue while on the ground in DCA trying to get home.....

Yeah. Based in DAY until May 1st or completion of IOE. I missed getting CLT on the last bid by three numbers. It looks like there are 12 more slots to fill in june so I might get lucky. But I am not holding my breath. One guy in my class will have 35 days off and still no IOE.

Well I managed to get a whopping 8 hours of IOE out of the way. The first day was TYS-DCA-DAY. Second day was CLT-IND-PHL-CAE. Both of the captains were great. It was great to get into the real airplane and I look forward to flying again soon.

Ah you got lucky with our "long" routes..... you need many of the CLT-OAJ, CLT-GPS, PHL-AVP etc routes..... too lucky with the legs you got!

Meyers you got your wish. I have two more trips coming up, both three days with a couple of short hops. Should be fun. How's the overnight in CRW? Never been there before.

haha CRW is awesome. I personally love it. The downtown area there is nice.... Personally its one of my top 3-4 over nights. Nice little older downtown district. Actually ok food options, a mall etc... And if you are an athlete and runner its great due to the terrain! Just dont run off the end of the runway (hit those breaks rather quick after landing, not much room to mess around at CRW with a long landing roll etc.). haha well you cant be too spoiled. Plus how are you going to get everything down if you are not rushed. Thus you need a bunch of short 15-20 minute flights to fine tune those skills. haha those flights are the best IMO anyways!

Yeah. I hear CRW is a fun place to land. I have a long overnight in D.C. as well. Love that place. Can't wait to get that IOE signoff and get to sitting around again.
