| Finally, and thanks jetcareers After a two year, four month hiatus from flying due to medical issues, I get to dust off the old logbook soon. I finally recieved my medical today .
I posted a thread last year explaining my ordeal if you are interested... http://forums.jetcareers.com/general...-i-m-back.html (I'm back). If anyone has been through or is going through something similar, drop me a pm if you'd like. Also, a HUGE thanks to Dr. Forred for his help in the matter. This site is chock full of resources, so thank you Doug, Kristie and everyone else.

| Re: Finally, and thanks jetcareers Congratulations on getting your medical! I have several family members who have had the same health issues and the surgery changed gave them their lives back. Glad we'll be seeing you out in the skies again! |

| Re: Finally, and thanks jetcareers A family member had the same problems and resulting surgery accept due to MS the ileostomy is forever. She did have complications where the stoma was surgically moved to the opposite side due to a basketball size hernia over the stoma site. She endured that surgery twice. We should all count our blessings it would be very difficult to go through that type of major surgery. Like you....she bounced right back and continues to work fulltime, last month was her 28th year with her airline. Oh .....thank god for a great union negoicated insurance policy.
Good luck with your future, you have fought your way back from a serious major medical condition, everything from this point forward appears not as important when you have come where you have been.
