Default Soloed finally..

Yes, after 2 weeks ago saying I was going to solo "2morrow", the weather finally cooperated today and I got it done! What an awesome feeling taking that thing out all by yourself. It was funny, when I first lifted off the thing that ran through my mind was, "ok, no turning back now, you have to land it". Once I was in the air I was fine, going through my checklist and talking to the "phantom" instructor next me. (I heard I'm not the only one to do that!). I almost think I flew it better without the instructor. And man, how that thing pops up off the runway without another body in there with you. My climb rate felt like I was in an airliner. "Oh, crap, I'm already at pattern altitude, trim it, trim it!" Thanks everyone for the encouraging words on my last post. Next is area solo, wish me luck.

Awesome job Dan! Now you're never gonna want your CFI in the plane. Glad the WX finally allowed it to happen.

Awesome! Like FiveO said, all you will want to do is fly alone now.

Doesn't the plane perform so much better without all that deadweight in the right seat?
