You know if we end up in HI during our vacation, we're all going out for beer and spam.

i'll definitely take you guys up on the beer and spam and manapua. i'm currently lookin at ATP to start my flight experience in Arizona, but with there price goin up 5 grand i don't think i will make it in time. so i'm looking at other schools there or maybe just doing what i can here in hawaii. any input is appreciative.

Aloha and welcome! I was born in Hawaii until my parents forced me to move to Arkansas of all places. Is the water still as blue as it was 25 years ago?

Welcome to JC.

Did you go to school in HI? If so where? I did Elem-HS on the windward side of Oahu, but that was MANY years ago.

Nah, we didn't stay long enough for me to go to elementary school. However, I find it ironic that when my parents went to high school in Hawaii, they didn't have to wear any shoes aaaaaaaaannnd...... we moved to Arkansas, where shoes are also optional!

OK, I have to ask, where did your parents go to school? (Realizing that I am the age of your parents or so). And its true no shoes as no problem in school. Bikini tops for girls were ok too

Kahuku still as rough as it was years ago? When we played them in football, we ended up having a small riot after the game. We lived down in Kailua/Kaneohe area.

Kahuku has really mellowed out since those days which we still hear stories from parents and family members... i think now that we win games theres no need for rioting.
