Goodluck on your interview pilot4500!
I definitely agree...I'd say about 80% or more of the flying I do is in the 175. Many of the 170's are going to the Frontier side, but we all know how fragile Frontier is right now...

Best of luck with the interview pilot4500. I won't be using your phone number after all. I called Republic on Friday and turned down the interview. May seem foolish, but I have great opportunity to instruct in Nepal. This had been in the works for awhile. I had given up hope on this job and started applying to Regionals. Finally confirmed the Nepal job on Friday. Hate to turn down an interview, and it may burn me, but this is an opportunity I won't regret. Once you're locked into a Regional, freedom to take on jobs like this don't exist. I'm looking forward to the adventure of flying at the foothills of the Himalayas for a few months. Thanks to all who offered advice and words of encouragement for the interview.

They have one of the most modern fleet of airplanes, their payscale is higher than most of the other regionals, and most of the Republic employees that I spoke to seem to be very happy. That says a lot about the company.

Thanks for all of the well wishes on the interview. I will keep you guys posted on how it goes.

I interviewed yesterday and I thought it was overall a dissapointing experience. I did not get hired. I took Wonderlic test as well as the Instrument test. I thought I did pretty well on both of them.

When they started doing the panel interviews they called me in and said that my interview was being discontinued because I did not score high enough on the Wonderlic test. It is a 50 question test and they give you 12 minutes to complete it. It is almost impossible to complete all of the questions in 12 minutes. I answered 35 questions total. They did not tell me what the minimum passing score was, or which ones I got wrong.

They suggested that I go online and try to take some practice Wonderlic tests. They then thanked me for taking the time to come to Indianapolis to interview and said that I could reapply in 6 months.

There were 7 of us that interviewed that day, and I know of at least 3 who did not score high enough on the Wonderlic test and were sent home.

The guy who went in ahead of me was an American Eagle FO, and he was also sent home because he did not do well enough on the Wonderlic test.

Republic seems like a great company to work for, but I think that sending someone home because they didn't score high enough on a test that has absolutely nothing to do with fly airplanes is rediculous!

There are other regionals out there and I will keep looking. For anyone that is planning to interview with Republic, I would strongly suggest that you do a google search on the Wonderlic test and become very familiar with it. People say that you can't study for it, but you can if you do some research.

Damn. Sorry to hear the news. I guess in a positive way, at least you got an experience, and because you went, you don't have to wonder the

BTW. You don't fly into CLT anymore? I met you once when you came into CLT with the Seneca.

I fly into CLT almost everyday. Once in a while they have me fly out of JQF. I usually leave at 1300 and come back around 1900 on most days. Are you still working the 3rd shift?

Yeah. That's why I haven't noticed you. 3rd shift starts at 2200.
