Default Corporate job

Well I just accepted a corporate job here in Wyoming in the King Air 90, they offered it yesturday and I accepted it today. It was a tough decision. Horizon airlines also called me yesturday inviting me to an interview, and it was hard telling them no. Hopefully I made the right choice...

That's just how it works sometimes, I was searching for work for months, had not heard squat, or I was hearing from places I wanted nothing to do with. Then I got a call from the place I'm about to start working at in Chicago, and as I was on the phone I had a job offer from another place in Phoenix, then I also heard from some other places as well.

I think its was a good choice.....im sure you'll have a more flexiable schedule and be home more often with the family. Plus King Air is an great turbine aircraft (and forgiving) to transition to from GA aircraft.

Good luck and just make the most of it. I've had a very postive experience on the corporate/charter side.

I'll be in the right seat till I get 250 hours in type, then I will fly it single pilot on the 91 legs (supposedly, that's what they tell me, but who knows) , and I'll be in the right seat on the 135 legs.

Thanks everyone

I worked in construction for about 10 years before I started flying, built this guy a house whos best friend is the pilot for this individual, and he is gonna retire once me and this other pilot gets 250 hours in the king air.

so far Its alot of sitting around and Im not used to that But It pays pretty good, better then a regional even if I am sitting around doing nothing.

They are looking to buy a citation so I may get first chance in that as well

Fly Unity,

Did you ever post on how that 'checkride' went when you were looking for info on the King Air? If not, I would like to hear about it.
