Default Lurking complete - Time to start posting

Greetings all!

Awesome forum with a lot of great information here - I hope I can add to the discussion. I am an Army dude - flying RC-12Ks at the moment, and enjoying flying all over Europe, and of course other exotic locals once in a while.

Doug - I saw on your flyblog that you stay in Wiesbaden whenever you layover in FRA - Consider this an open invitation to you, and any other JCers, to drop me a PM when you are going to be in town. I live right up the hill from the Dorint and Hauptbahnhof, and my wife and I would love to get together with anyone interested for dinner / drinks and learn more about our next career........

Welcome to JC!

What helicopter did you fly before you got into RC-12s?

Ha! Sometimes I miss the old rivalries.

Everyone loves 58s in combat though - you guys were lifesavers to the dudes on the ground.

Hello, welcome to JC and thank you for your service! So, what is your next career plans? Will you stay in Rotary, or have you decided to start flying a real aircraft?

Yeah, I know, I was actually looking at the OH-58D, you know the army traffic copter... it was my bad attempt at sarcasm...I actually very much respect you helo guys/gals...If not for my age and lack of $$$ I would be all over doing the helo training. Im just thankful I didn't fall for the silver state sales pitch (we had a SS school just 30 min up the road from us!)

I have too much time invested to not hang out a few more years to get that paycheck for life.....after that, current first choice is the fracs followed by the majors. Who knows what hiring will look like in a year, much less more than that.......

And yeah, Rotary wing was a blast while it lasted, but given the option, I will stay with just what I am doing.

Us too....the exercise program definitely had to ramp up when we moved here. I can honestly say I have not had a bad meal or a bad beer in a restaurant here yet (soon to be two years).

We LOVE it. So much in fact that we are considering staying for another tour before my first "retirement" just to have more travel time and set that retirement pay a little higher. Wife and kids are at 8 countries so far, and I (thanks to Uncle Sam) am at 12.....more for all of us coming soon.
