| When I got home from playing outside yesterday afternoon, I had a PM from Snuggle saying that he was in town. I was suppose to go to party last night that I really didn't feel like going to, so it was the perfect reason to skip out of that, plus I've always liked the online Snuggle. Now I like the real life Snuggle as well! I ran across the bridge and picked him up and took him out to hear my oldest son's band play last night. What a delightful young man - just as I thought! My son was impressed that he was only 22 and an airline pilot already. ![]() He was very excited to be in San Francisco for the very first time and we're having great weather this weekend, so he picked a great weekend to visit! I believe he's playing tourist today and visiting Alcatraz, etc. Nice to meet you Snuggle! ![]() |

| Agent Smith | Excellent! What's crazy is that I walked into the normal crew bar here in FRA and ran into two JC'ers. One's a lurker and the other one use to answer the military questions on JC. Here I was excited that they were in town and they were excited that I was in town. Weeeeird! ![]()

| I'm in the bay area all the time....well sort of anyway. I'll actually be flying out of OAK all this week. I won't have time to do anything other than sleep there though. It really sucks! ![]() With that said, if anyone wants to hang Friday night, I might be available. ![]() |

| This trip was pretty cool, let me write up a little story.. I was actually commuting back home from ALB after the end of a 3 day trip. Turns out the whole nascar thing had all the flights full on Saturday, and the first flight I try to get on is overbooked/ jumpseat taken. I look at the board and see that I have 2 flights left but they are also both overbooked as well. That's when I noticed SWA has flights to BWI, LAS, SFO and it got me thinking... I have always wanted to go to California but never had the time, so I thought heck why not go now...and so I was on my way. I flew from ALB to BWI and got to sit in the cockpit. My first time sitting up front in a 737 so that was pretty cool. Then I sat in the back for the longer leg to LAS. I sat for 2 hours in LAS and flew to SFO. On the flight to SFO I sat next to a mom and daughter who were flying to SFO from Alabama. Long story short, they offered me a free ticket to see Alcatraz since her husband could not make it. I had no hotel plans since this was all last minute, so at the airport my plan was to call the nearby hotels and find one with a crew discount. Well I can't find the hotel phones so I end up walking into a US Airways office to get some info. The guy inside there was one of the strangest persons I've encountered. Real nice guy, but just really weird. He ends up getting me a cheap rate at a nearby hotel. I'm not used to random acts of kindness being from New York. So I suppose my luck was good for this trip, it all worked out well even though I had no prior planning. I spent yesterday with Sky at her sons Gig, and today with two wonderful women who I met on that flight. Sky thank you very much. It was very nice to meet you as well. I had a great time and your sons band has some amazing talent. I wish I had purchased one of their stickers to put on my flight bag but I didn't think of that till later. This trip has taken me away from my normal routine. I got to experience new things while meeting lots of wonderful people. I've been wanting to go to California for a long time now and I'm happy I finally went. I really love it out here in the West Coast. Sometimes, you really do need to change your scenery and get away from it all. |

| I commute from a New York airport, that I could be based at, to the west coast and look for long SFO layovers. Your above statement, a fact, is not something to be ignored! Quote:

| Nah Kelvin, we never met up. I've been glued to my computer, working some ungodly hours this week! I'm at the office working all day today as well. We're suppose to get hit with a major storm today, so I don't know if I'll be traveling outside Marin today. We'll see how the storm goes. I'll PM ya later. |
