| Hi, Wow...what a nice warm feeling I got when I read all your encouragements! Thanks so much for your support. Yes, I am a bit nervous..ya know...I am experiencing the usual emotional snafus students typically go through. Ironically, I have been reading about more airplane crashes lately and just before my checkride. Thanks for giving me some confidence. ![]() |

| HA! I made it through the initiation process. Whew! Is this a common occurrence or am I just special? ![]() |

| Are you flying out of MYF? I've flown out of that place a couple 100 times or 2. ![]() |

| Old Skool | Naw, you're special. You came back, didn't you? The ones who aren't special take a look around and disappear, never to be heard from again!

| Am I the only one who thinks this girl is a fake? Or at least the avatar is? |

| Moderator | I don't think she's a fake, but I will admit the photo looks like something from a magazine/catalog. However, I've never met her, have no idea what she looks like, and therefore don't really think I can pass judgement on whether or not the picture is fake or not.

| I am sure you guys are gonna make her blush when she sees this. Yes, Neena is real. The photo is real and very recent. She actually went through a bit of trouble to get the unretouched image from the photo studio. The rest of her is as cute as the photo (this is going to get me in big trouble). She's really a student pilot. She's really just about ready for the checkride (ok, maybe a few more laps around the patch, but not many). Not convinced? Her phone number is on the home page of the web site in her profile. But please, be decent and only call her if you're a CFI with at least a remote interest in signing up more students (other than her). |

| Honestly, I haven't seen many newbies take the greeting iconoclast and neena have gotten in some time. I know I was jaded in the response for the origional thread as it seemed more like spam/come to our website - here's what we do approach; but, i honestly believe both can be a productive member of JC. There has been a ton of new activity lately, which is awesome for JC - and yes screening the wheat from the chaff is important. The new ones need guidance on the rules - this isn't the other forums, which is why JC is special. But at the same time, Neena, you've got to know that you've been given a little harder time than most. Post questions you might have about the checkride or hop into the lav with your fav movie, but overall understand that alot of folks are just trying to protect what we have here to prevent it from degrading into a grudge match of "I'm better than you," BS. By the way, I'm better than you. ![]() |

| Haa haa. Your last statement was funny, Moxie.... Thanks for the words of encouragement. For those who just questioned my existence...I am truly a real person and that avatar is me! I'm not a model..or a catalog girl....just your ordinary Female Asian Student Pilot you don't see everyday! Now, are there more ankle biters lurking? Am I now accepted into this group of illustrious aviators or does the initiation process keep on going like the bloody Energizer bunny? ![]() FYI: I did most of my training out of Montgomery and Gillespie. My most recent flight training was in Las Vegas (great weather but not my favorite place - I don't smoke!). I don't have an examiner picked out yet...ya have any suggestions? |

| Can we see a photo of you where you're not in a plain white t and a headset? I just find it very intriguing that you would have a generic looking picture like that, especially since it's a plain white background which indicates that it was taken in some sort of studio... |

![]() all should be good now though.... Welcome Neena! Good luck on your checkride! btw.. i don't see what an avatar picture has to do with anything....avatars are always changing and you never know who is in the avatar....so it shouldn't be a big deal. leave the nice girl alone. | |
