| Hello all, I used to visit these forums a lot 2 or 3 years ago when I was flight instructing. Well, I kind of went a different route and ended up working in airports and now I'm at the FAA. Good to see things are still jumping around here! |

| Agent Smith | Welcome back! What are you doing for the FAA now?

| Hi Doug, I'm what's called an Airport Certification Safety Inspector. Basically, we inspect airports that are certified for air carrier use and make sure everyone is complying with Part 139 of the FARs, among other things. It's not something I ever planned on doing or even knew existed until fairly recently, but I'm really liking it so far (only been here a few months). |
